Winchester model 52 (picture from Wikipedia)
I got it for $600 (plus tax) and it was manufactured in 1928. It needs a good cleaning but that’s about it. Now to find a scope for it...

Never shot one. They sold a ton of them. Let us know how it is.

I’ve been on the lookout for one for about 10 years. I could have searched one out years ago but I wasn’t crazy hard up for one. This morning, I had no intentions of buying one but since it was there on the shelf and it was the right price, I kinda had to.

Nice find!
Until I spent time in Iowa I never knew how good Pawn Shops could be and never stepped inside of one. There are some good deals to be had.

Mine doesn’t have the kick ass old Lyman sights. It’s got a Winchester ladder sight.
I could put a Lyman on it though...

It’s just a matter of finding one. My rifle was built in 1928 and is an early “flat top” model which are harder to find stuff for. I’ve got a bid on one on eBay though.
